Richard Caster, who played tight end and wide receiver for thirteen years in the NFL, passed away on February 2. He was 75. Caster played eight seasons for the New York Jets, then spent five seasons with the Houston Oilers, New Orleans Saints, and Washington Redskins. He was selected for the Pro Bowl three times while with the Jets, in 1972, 1974, and 1975. He had the NFL’s longest reception in 1974, an 89-yard play on a pass from Joe Namath.
