Roger Davis, who had a seven-year career as an offensive lineman in the NFL, passed away on March 6. He was 85 years old. Davis played four seasons with the Chicago Bears, one with the Los Angeles Rams, and two with the New York Giants. He was a starter on the 1963 Bears team that beat the Giants for the NFL Championship.
Today’s card of the day is Davis’s 1963 Topps card, issued in his last season with the Bears. This is his only appearance on a card. According to Beckett, he also appeared on Coke Caps in 1964 and 1965.
