Happy 70th birthday to Tony Galbreath! Galbreath played running back for twelve seasons in the NFL: five with the New Orleans Saints, three with the Minnesota Vikings, and four with the New York Giants. He was prolific as a receiver, with 490 career catches–an NFL record for a running back at the time. Gabreath played in the Giants’ win over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI–caching four passes–and he was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 1991.
Today’s card of the day is Galbreath’s rookie card, a 1977 Topps. He appeared on numerous other cards, as well.
