Kenny Graham, who played defensive back for seven seasons in the AFL and NFL, passed away on December 11. Graham played from 1964 to 1969 for the San Diego Chargers, then played part of the 1970 season with the Cincinnati Bengals and part with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was selected to play in the AFL All-Star game four times with the Chargers. His older days were challenging: According to the Bakersfield Californian, before his death, Graham suffered from dementia and was homeless at times.
Graham is pictured here on his 1969 Glendale Stamp. Graham returned two interceptions for touchdowns in 1969, tying Miami’s Bill Stanfill for the AFL lead. 1969 was also the year he made his fourth trip to the AFL All-Star game.
