Ed Budde, who played guard from 1963 to 1976 for the Kansas City Chiefs, passed away on December 19. He was 83. Budde played in Super Bowl II, which the Chiefs lost to the Green Bay Packers, and in Super Bowl IV, a win against the Minnesota Vikings. He was an AFL All-Star five times, and an NFL Pro Bowler twice. Budde was inducted into the Chiefs Hall of Fame in 1984. His son, Brad Budde, also played for the Chiefs.
Budde is pictured here on his 1966 Topps card. He also appeared on numerous other cards–an impressive array for a lineman, especially considering the number of other stars the Chiefs had in the 1960 and early 1970s.
