Happy 85th birthday to Jerry Stalcup! Stalcup played linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams in 1960, and for the American Football League’s Denver Broncos in 1961 and 1962. He is shown here on his 1960 Bell Brand Rams card, number 38 in the set. Though the price guides don’t show it, it is a short print: You can see from PSA’s population report that with just one exception, cards 19-39 have been graded in far lower numbers than cards 1-18.
To my knowledge, this is Stalcup’s only card, though he might have appeared on a team card or team issue photo I’m not aware of. There is a nice article about him here, and a video tribute to him here.
