Happy 90th birthday to Gene Cronin! Cronin was a defensive end for 7 seasons in the NFL, playing for the Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys, and Washington Redskins. He was a member of one championship team, the 1957 Detroit Lions, the last Lions team to win the title. He was also one of the original Dallas Cowboys, chosen by the team in the 1960 NFL Expansion Draft.
The card pictured here is Cronin’s rookie card, a 1959 Topps. He also appeared on a 1961 Fleer football card.
