1974 Fleer Immortal Roll Football Cards

1974 Fleer Immortal Roll cards, also known as 1974 Fleer Hall of Fame cards, were inserts in packs of 1974 Fleer Football Patches. There are 50 cards in the set, representing 50 of the 74 Hall of Fame members as of 1972. The cards are not difficult to find; I still sometimes see unopened boxes of the patches on eBay. The best feature of the Immortal Roll set is that it includes a number of NFL pioneers who had not appeared on cards before. Joe Carr, Jimmy Conzelman, and Paddy Driscoll are just three examples. Also, about half of the images on the cards are head-and-shoulder portraits, which give us a better look at the players than their earlier cards.
