1961 Fleer Wallet Pictures

1961 Fleer Wallet Pictures (also called Wallet Photos) were cut by hand from a magazine, the 1961-62 issue of Complete Sports Pro-Football Illustrated. Most of the pictures are from the interior of the magazine; they are black and white and printed on newsprint. Twelve pictures were on the back of the magazine; they are smaller, colored, glossy, and on slightly thicker paper.

Each wallet picture has the player's name and team printed on the back. About a dozen of them have errors. Most of the players also appeared, in the same poses, on 1961 Fleer football cards. There are a few exceptions; among them are four players who never appeared on a standard football card. You can see those players in my blog article about the 1961 Fleer Wallet Picture set.
