1968 Topps Football Card Puzzles
The backs of some second series 1968 Topps football cards are puzzle pieces. There are two puzzles: one of Bart Starr and one of Len Dawson, the quarterbacks of Super Bowl I. The pictures below show how the puzzles look when assembled. You can pick any puzzle piece to see the player on the other side. The puzzles were printed intact on the backs of uncut sheets of 1968 Topps cards; my 1968 Topps virtual uncut sheet page shows their locations.
The cards of the players of the two Super Bowl II teams, the Packers and the Raiders, were oriented horizontally in the 1968 Topps set. It's odd that Topps chose Dawson to be on their puzzle in 1968, since Daryle Lamonica was the AFL Super Bowl quarterback the year before.

Bart Starr
Some 1968 Topps cards are snow white on the back, while others have a yellow-brown tone. You can see in Bart's face and in his jersey number that I have some of each.

Len Dawson
In 1968, Topps still had Len in his Browns uniform! He played for the Browns in 1960 and 1961, completing a total of 15 passes.
Here are all of Len Dawson's cards.
