This card shows Rote with the Packers, but the Packers traded him to the Detroit Lions in July of 1957. Rote proceeded to lead the Lions to a 59-14 win over the Cleveland Browns in the 1957 NFL Championship game. He threw for four touchdowns and ran for one in the game.
