Baltimore Colts (1947-1950) Football Cards
The original Baltimore Colts franchise was formed in 1947 from the remnants of the AAFC's Miami Seahawks. The Seahawks played just one season in the league, 1946, before folding. The Colts played from 1947 to 1949 in the AAFC, then were one of three AAFC teams (the others being the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers) to join the NFL in 1950. After one season in the NFL, the Colts folded, too.
