1980 Chiefs Police Football Cards
The 1980 Kansas City Chiefs Police set contains just ten cards, and only eight of those are player cards. The backs of the cards show that they were sponsored in part by the Kiwanis Club and Frito-Lay. The cards are larger than standard trading cards, at about 4 by 2 1/2 inches.
The set contains the first card of Gary Spani, who was inducted into the Chiefs Hall of Fame in 1998. Sadly, Spani never appeared on a regular issue football card. He did appear in several later police sets, however.
