1974 USC Discs
The set of 1974 USC Discs includes 25 USC players, coach John McKay, and four miscellaneous other subjects. The discs, which came with a plastic "fotoball," were produced by Photo Sports Inc. of Los Angeles. The discs are 2 1/4 inches across, and they have notches at the bottom for attaching them to a rail in the bottom of the fotoball. The back of each disc contains brief personal information about the player.
The 1974 USC team finished with a 10-1-1 record, including a win over Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. Remarkably, 17 of the 25 players pictured on these discs later played in the NFL. In addition, Coach McKay became the first coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1976. He held that position for nine seasons.
