1965 Philadelphia Football Cards
The 1965 Philadelphia set is the second of four football card sets produced by the Philadelphia Gum Company in the mid-1960s. The set contains NFL players and teams; AFL players appeared in the classic 1965 Topps set. There are 198 cards in the
1965 Philadelphia set, and they were printed on a 264-card sheet. This means that 66 of the cards were double-printed, but the double prints are not documented in the price guides. (I have marked them below, however.) See the Gallery's
1965 Philadelphia virtual uncut sheet
for an explanation. Also see my blog article, P is for Philadelphia, for an
overview of the 1964-1967 Philadelphia football card sets.
Rookie cards of Pro Football Hall of Famers in the 1965 Philadelphia set: Carl Eller, Paul Krause, Dick LeBeau, Mel Renfro, Charley Taylor, Paul Warfield.
