1952 Parkhurst Football Cards
There are 100 cards in the 1952 Parkhurst Canadian football set: 81 player cards and 19 "How to Play Football" cards. (Card number 3, "Football Equipment," includes the all-important jockstrap!) The 81 player cards picture players from the four Interprovincial Rugby Football Union teams: Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Hamilton. In 1958, these four teams would form the East Division of the Canadian Football League.
The 1952 Parkhurst set contains a number of errors, mostly misspelled names. There is no card number 62, but there are two cards with number 58. They are marked 58A and 58B below.
A huge thanks to Larry Oleskiw for providing the images for this set.
