Happy 70th birthday to Larry Mucker! Mucker played wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1977 to 1980. Statistically, Mucker’s best year was 1979, when he caught 14 passes for 268 yards and five touchdowns. Tampa made the playoffs for the first time that season, losing to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship game.
Prior to his pro career, Mucker played college football at Arizona State University.
Today’s card of the day is Mucker’s rookie card, a 1980 Topps. He also appeared on a 1980 Buccaneers Police card, which I don’t yet have in the Gallery.
