Bob Simmons is celebrating his 70th birthday today. Simmons played guard from 1977 to 1983 for the Kansas City Chiefs, and in 1984 for the USFL’s Chicago Blitz. He played college football at the University of Texas.
Today’s card of the day is Simmons’s 1979 Chiefs Police card, one of ten in the set. Simmons never appeared on a regular issue (i.e., Topps) card, but he did appear on a few other Chiefs team sets.
