The Minnesota Vikings announced this week that they will add Bobby Bryant to the team’s Ring of Honor on September 22. Bryant played cornerback for the Vikings from 1968 to 1980. He intercepted 51 passes in his career, second to Paul Krause’s 53 on the Vikings’ all-time list.
Remarkably, the Vikings won 11 division titles during Bryant’s 13-year career. They also played in Super Bowls IV, VIII, IX, and XI–but lost all four games.
Today’s card of the day is Bryant’s 1978 Country Kitchen Vikings photo. It is one of seven in the set. The photos are 5×7 inches, and they are printed on glossy paper, like most team issue photos. Country Kitchen is a national restaurant chain headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, and concentrated in the upper Midwest.
Not surprisingly, Bryant appeared on a lot of other cards, too. You can see them all in the Gallery.
