Happy 75th birthday to Dan Neal! Neal played center for eleven seasons in the NFL: 1973 and 1974 with the Baltimore Colts, and 1975 to 1983 for the Chicago Bears. He played on the Bears’ playoff teams of 1977 and 1979.
After retiring as a player, Neal was an assistant coach in the NFL for fifteen years. He played college football at the University of Kentucky.
Today’s card of the day is Neal’s rookie card, a 1977 Topps. He also appeared on Topps cards in 1979 and 1980.
