Happy 75th birthday to Bob Newton! Newton played guard for twelve seasons in the NFL and USFL: 1971 to 1975 for the Chicago Bears, 1976 to 1981 with the Seattle Seahawks, and 1983 with the Chicago Blitz. He was one of the original Seattle Seahawks; the team signed him just before the start of the 1976 season.
Before his pro career, Newton played college football at the University of Nebraska.
