John Lee, who played defensive end for eight seasons in the NFL and USFL, passed away on August 16. He was 71. Lee played for the San Diego Chargers from 1976 to 1980, the New England Patriots in 1981, the Chicago Blitz in 1983, and the Arizona Wranglers in 1984.
Lee played college football at the University of Nebraska. Today’s card of the day is his 1974 Nebraska playing card. As far as I know, he did not appear on a card as a pro.
Lee is one of fourteen players in the 1974 Nebraska playing card deck who went on to play in the NFL.
