Happy 80th birthday to Tom Funchess! Funchess played tackle for seven seasons in the AFL and NFL: 1968 to 1970 for the Boston Patriots, 1971 to 1973 for the Houston Oilers, and 1974 for the Miami Dolphins. He played in one playoff game, in 1974 with the Dolphins.
Prior to his pro career, Funchess played college football at Jackson State University.
