Happy 75th birthday to Mike Wagner! Wagner played defensive back for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1971 to 1980. He was a member of the Steelers teams that won Super Bowls IX, X, XIII, and XIV.
In 1973, Wagner tied the Miami Dolphins’ Dick Anderson for the NFL lead in interceptions, with eight. Over his ten-year NFL career, he had 36 interceptions and 12 fumble recoveries. Wagner was selected for the Pro Bowl in 1975 and 1976, and he was inducted into the Steelers Hall of Honor in 2020.
