Happy 80th birthday to Diron Talbert! Talbert played defensive tackle for fourteen seasons in the NFL: 1967 to 1970 for the Los Angeles Rams and 1971 to 1980 for the Washington Redskins. He made the Pro Bowl in 1974, and he played on the Redskins team that played the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl VII.
Talbert played college football at the University of Texas. He was inducted into the school’s athletic Hall of Honor in 2005.
Talbert’s older brother, Don Talbert, also played in the NFL.
