Happy 80th birthday to Moses Denson! Denson played running back from 1970 to 1972 with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes, and from 1974 to 1975 with the NFL’s Washington Redskins. He was named a CFL All-Star in 1970 and 1972, and he helped the Alouettes win the CFL’s Grey Cup in 1970. His best year in the NFL was 1974, when he gained 565 yards from scrimmage for the Redskins.
Denson played college football at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Sadly, the school no longer has a football program; it was discontinued in 1980. NFL stars Roger Brown, Emerson Boozer, and Art Shell also attended Maryland Eastern Shore.
Today’s card of the day is Denson’s 1970 O-Pee-Chee CFL card. You can see all of his cards in the Gallery.
