Happy 80th birthday to Jack Clancy! Clancy played wide receiver for the AFL’s Miami Dolphins from 1967 to 1969, and for the NFL’s Green Bay Packers in 1970. His best season was his rookie year, 1967, when he caught 67 passes for 868 yards and was named an AFL All-Star.
Prior to his pro career, Clancy starred at the University of Michigan. By the end of his last season, 1966, he held most of the school’s receiving records.
Today’s card of the day is Clancy’s rookie card, a 1968 Topps. He also appeared, in a far better photo, on a 1969 Glendale Stamp.
