Greg Larson, who was an offensive lineman with the New York Giants from 1961 to 1973, passed away on June 20. He was 84. Larson played mostly at center, and he started every game from 1967 until he retired.
Larson played college football for the University of Minnesota. He was a team captain when the Golden Gophers won the national championship in 1960.
Today’s card of the day is Larson’s rookie card, a 1965 Philadelphia. It is one of the double prints in the set. He also appeared on numerous other cards, stamps, and Coke caps.
