Ted Frechette, who played defensive back for the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos in 1962 and 1963, passed away on August 1. He was 84. In 1962, Frechette was named the Outstanding Rookie Player of the CFL’s Western Football Conference. He played college football for the University of Alberta Golden Bears.
Today’s card of the day is Frechette’s 1963 Topps CFL football card, one of 88 in the set. He also appeared on a 1964 Topps CFL card, which used the same image.
