Unlike Topps, which used the same images on their team cards for years on end, Philadelphia appears to have obtained new photos each year for their team cards. This 1967 Philadelphia card shows the 1966 Browns team, and the 1964, 1965, and 1966 Browns team cards each show the team from the previous year.

There is a larger version of the image on this card on the official Browns web site, and I had to refer it to make out some of the players' numbers. The Browns site, in fact, includes a nice team photo and season summary for every year of the team's existence. The players in the photos are not identified, unfortunately, so for this card I referred to the 1966 team roster at

The Browns 1966 team roster lists three players who are not pictured on the card. The first is Nick Pietrosante, who came from the Lions in a trade and might have arrived after the photo was taken. The others are Jim Battle and Fred Hoaglin, who were rookies in 1966 and played in just six games each. They might also have joined the team late. Conversely, the card shows one player, Tom Hutchinson, number 87, who does not appear on the 1966 roster. Hutchinson played for the Falcons in 1966, but he apparently was still with the Browns on photo day.

Below is a list of the team members on the card above. Clicking on a team member's name will show you all of his cards in the Vintage Football Card Gallery.
