Football Cards
Today's Washington Commanders franchise entered the NFL as the Boston Braves in 1932. The following year, 1933, the franchise owner, George Preston Marshall, renamed the team the Boston Redskins. In 1937, Marshall moved the team to Washington. The team retained the name Washington Redskins until 2020. It then played two seasons as the Washington Football Team, and it adopted the name Commanders in 2022.
