\"Jim<\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Jim Heighton, who played defensive end from 1969 to 1981 in the Canadian Football League, passed away on December 13<\/a>. He was 79. Heighton played one season for the BC Lions, nine for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, two for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and one for the Montreal Alouettes. He was named a CFL West All-Star four times, and he was inducted into the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame in 2014. According to his page on the Blue Bombers web site<\/a>, Heighton also starred in multiple other sports, notably baseball and track and field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, the card companies didn’t produce a lot of CFL cards in the 1970s. Heighton appears on just one card in the Gallery, the 1971 O-Pee-Chee card<\/a> shown here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
